It's just what you would think, year after year, very good source and very dependable.
Do youself a favor and buy the other two books. This is THE book as far as quick books goes. One of those three will most likely have the answers that you are looking for. "QuickBooks 2009 The Missing Manual" and "QuickBooks 2009 Solutions Guide" to go along with it. It will not tell you the secrets like some of the other books. But it is a definitive manual on the program.
I did not like it and struggled all year (2008) using it. If you can write a check in your checkbook you can use Quickbooks.
You will discover how useful some of the other options within can help you manage your company whether its a multiple employee one or just a one owner/employee. You don't even have to use everything that it can do if all you want is to write checks and bills.
I have used Quickbooks since 1996 for my business and as a church treasurer. Bought Quickbooks 2009 and will get back to this easy to use program.
I will not stray away again. When I sold my business and became self-employed I thought about using Quicken instead since it was cheaper.
Ended up not keeping up.
I highly recommend it. It's easy to follow and puts things in plain English. This is a terrific book. I've never used QuickBooks before and this book takes you step by step.
I highly recommend every QuickBooks user keep a copy handy. The book is well written in non "techie" English and very complete. This book has saved me lots of time and stress. No more calling the Intuit helpline and attempting to communicate with someone in the Philippines.
